This pendant pays tribute to the strong connection Mãori have with Tangaroa, especially Ngati Kuri with Tohora (Whales) that guide and protect them.

For Ngäti Kuri, Tohora is a kaitiaki, or guardians, they carry the spirit of our ancestors. Thora protected our people throughout Tangaroa as they made the great journey from Hawaiki to Te Hiku O Te Ika.
